老人要来帮忙带孩子 这些签证的事情先要了解清楚

今天，我们要来聊一下关于老人来新西兰帮忙带孩子事情。在华人的文化当中，三代同堂其乐融融是很多家庭向往的美好生活画面。不过，这件事情在新西兰却并不容易。今天我们就来聊聊，老人帮忙带孩子相关的签证问题。

先来看几个单词：
探访 Visit
访客，游客Visitor
签证Visa
父母 Parent，这是单数，如果要表达父亲和母亲两位，就要用Parents 也就是复数形式
祖父母Grandparents
担保人Sponsor
担保Sponsorship 这是一个名词。
照看孩子Child care
直系亲属immediate family
家庭成员 family member
目前，由于受到新冠肺炎疫情的影响，来自中国的访客和学生及工作短期签证都暂时无法访问新西兰。而在新西兰的访客。如果担心疫情，可以向新西兰移民局申请延长签证，当局会酌情考虑。
申请延长签证可以这样说：Apply for longer stay 或者Apply for further visa
从下周一开始，新的父母团聚移民签证正式出台并开放申请，符合收入条件的新西兰永久居民和公民，可以申请担保父母移民来新西兰。
这个父母团聚移民，叫做Resident visa under parent category 
 当然，老人想要来新西兰探望和照看孙辈，还可以申请五年多次往返的访客签证，和由子女担保的三年多次往返访客签证。
老人帮忙隔代带孩子，对很多新移民家庭来说，是雪中送炭，应该感恩。很多家长也发现，家里有老人家，对孩子学习中文有很大的帮助。孩子们可以在更多的关爱中长大。不过，要注意不能把老人当成免费劳动力。要是把老人的付出当成是理所当然的事情，那就是不对的做法了。

A：我的父母想来新西兰探望孙辈，可以申请什么签证呢？
My parents want to come to New Zealand to visit their grandchildren. What type of visa could they apply?
B：看你父母是想移民过来常住，还是只是想短期过来了。
It depends on whether your parents want to migrate here or just come for a short visit.
A：我听说父母团聚移民政策出了，但是对担保人的收入要求很高。
I’ve heard that the parent category is open. However the income requirement for the sponsors is very high.
B：是啊，收入要求确实非常高。
True. The income requirement is deemed very high.
A：我父母就来一两个月，看看孙子孙女，共享天伦之乐。
My parents will just come for one or two months, for visiting grandchildren and enjoying family fun together.
B：那就在网上申请访客签证吧，手续很方便。可以选择五年多次往返或者三年多次往返。
Then you could apply visitor visa on line. It is very convenient. They may choose multiple travels for five years or three years.
A：两个有什么区别？
What are the differences?
B：一般来说，五年多次往返的访客签证不需要体检。而三年多次往返是子女担保的，老人需要体检。
Generally the five year visitor visa does not need medical check. The three year one requires sponsorship and medical check I guess.
A：因为新冠肺炎，新西兰实施了旅行禁令。
Because of the coronavirus, New Zealand imposed travel ban.
B：是的，中国的访客都来不了了。
Yes, visitors from China can't come.
A：有的老人家想来看孙辈来不了。有的老人家想回中国回不去。
Many wanted to come to visit their grandchildren yet can’t come, while others can’t go back due to the outbreak.
B：确实有这个问题呢。
It is true a problem.
A：等疫情过去，就给他们申请访客签证。
Maybe after the epidemic, we will apply visitor visa for them.
B：新移民的家庭真是很不容易。
Being a new migrant family is very difficult.
